Our history.

THW Insurance Services, LLC, one of Lebanon’s longest-standing insurance agencies, was born from a vision of exceptional service and client-focused solutions. The journey began in 1976 when Rick Thorne embarked on his career in the insurance industry, laying the foundation for what would become a legacy of trust and expertise. In 1984, Brownie Hall joined Rick, and together they formed Hallthorne Insurance, a partnership built on shared values and a commitment to serving the Middle Tennessee community.

In 1999, the agency evolved with the addition of Richard Whitener, leading to the formation of THW Insurance Services, LLC. This milestone marked a new chapter, blending tradition with innovation to better serve businesses and individuals. Over the decades, THW has cultivated an exclusive product portfolio and an unparalleled customer service model, earning the trust of clients throughout Middle Tennessee.

Our team.

In 2007, Jud Nave joined THW as a producer specializing in commercial insurance. His expertise and dedication led to his appointment as a Partner in
2014, joining Rick, Brownie, and Richard in steering the agency’s vision. In a
significant addition to the leadership team, Kelsey Evert, with 23 years of
experience as an executive carrier representative, was named Partner in 2025, bringing his deep industry knowledge to the firm.

Today, Jud and Kelsey lead THW Insurance Services as Partners, committed to upholding the agency’s founding values of integrity, expertise, and personalized service. Supported by a team of skilled insurance producers and a dedicated service staff, they focus on delivering tailored insurance solutions to businesses and individuals in and around Middle Tennessee.
